Talybont-on-Usk

Talybont-on-Usk

Talybont-on-Usk lies between the River Usk and the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. It has several pubs and a shop. Whilst the village is on the Taff Trail "walkers' route", it is approximately half a mile away from the Cycle Route, but usually well worth a visit for refreshments and a rest.

The Taff Trail to the South follows a very long uphill gradient from the Usk valley into the Brecon Beacons. It can be reached by the road which crosses the canal lift bridge in the village which joins the marked route after a few hundred yards.

The Taff Trail to the North which is joined at the junction in Cross Oak follows the narrow roads towards Brecon.
